What is a laying plan?
A laying plan is an essential step in planning and installing floor coverings. It helps prevent mistakes in both the layout of the area and in ordering the correct number of tiles and accessories. The area to be covered is drawn to scale—typically at 1:100—on graph or millimetre paper, where 1 cm represents 1 m in real life.
The laying plan allows you to determine the most cost-effective installation strategy, accurately calculate the material requirement, and minimise waste. By counting the tile fields, the exact amount of material needed can be determined. It also enables you to preview various installation patterns and colour combinations to achieve the best design.
If you prefer not to draw the area yourself, you can use the online laying planner available in the shop with every WARCO tile. Simply enter the dimensions of your area, and the planner will suggest different layouts and automatically calculate the tile requirement.
