Should uneven floors be levelled?
Tiles made of PU-bound rubber granulate are naturally elastic and flexible. Their flexibility depends on the tile thickness and the density (depending on the pressing pressure during manufacturing) – thinner tiles are generally more flexible and adaptable. These tiles conform to minor irregularities in the subfloor by bridging cracks, gaps, and holes. Even on slightly uneven surfaces, they lie stable and wobble-free – a clear advantage over rigid concrete or stone tiles. However, if there is a depression where water accumulates, that is, a puddle forms, that area should be levelled before installation. Cut pieces of roofing felt work very well for this purpose.
