Are the joints of the installed tiles clearly visible?
Whether the joints are clearly visible mainly depends on the tile construction and colour design. Tiles with straight, chamfered edges show a distinct joint pattern, similar to conventional tiling. Products with an innovative puzzle-style interlock, however, snap tightly together, creating only narrow joints. As a result, there are no wide or gaping seams. In multi-coloured designs made from various rubber granules, these slim gaps are often only seen as faint shadows, giving an almost seamless look.
Additionally, the edge finish plays a crucial role: if the edges are neither broken nor chamfered, the joint pattern is practically invisible and hardly noticeable, even when walking barefoot. By contrast, single-colour flooring can make the joints more apparent, depending on the tile type. As a result, different plate systems can range from clearly visible joints to barely perceptible connections.
