Frequently asked questions

Which flooring is suitable for a double standing seam sheet?

A roof covering made of double standing seam sheet can be used as a terrace from a slope of approximately 3% – an acceptable solution for walkable areas. With the WARCO floor covering, a fully functional terrace floor is created that protects the metal substrate while providing high comfort.

The seam height of double standing seam sheets typically ranges between 25 and 30 mm. For optimal adhesion, the WARCO floor must be at least 10 mm higher – in practice, a 40 mm thick tile is usually chosen. At the locations where a standing seam is present, a groove is milled into the underside of the WARCO tile. This groove allows the standing seam to engage precisely and securely fix the tile without permanently attaching the floor to the metal.

If the metal roof exhibits damage, it is advisable to perform waterproofing before installation – for example, using ALLESDICHT, a water-dilutable liquid waterproofing on a rubber flour basis that forms a highly elastic, permanently waterproof rubber skin once dry.

Furthermore, the WARCO floor offers excellent impact sound insulation, effective thermal insulation, high slip resistance, and complete water permeability, which quickly drains rainwater away and prevents puddle formation.
