How many coats of ALLESDICHT are required?

For reliable waterproofing, the cured ALLESDICHT rubber skin should be at least 2 to 3 mm thick. As the coating loses about one third of its thickness while drying, a 1.5 mm wet coat cures to roughly 1 mm. This means the total wet application should be about 3.0 to 4.5 mm.

That thickness is normally built up in two, three or more passes, with each wet coat no thicker than 1.5 mm and each pass applied wet on dry. The exact number of passes depends on the structural requirements, the substrate and the ambient conditions. Additional coats can also be sensible around joints and penetrations.
