Frequently asked questions

Can a waterproofing layer made with ALLESDICHT be painted, plastered or covered with screed?

Yes. Once fully cured, a waterproofing layer made with ALLESDICHT can be covered with paint, plaster or screed. It is important to allow for the intended finish when applying the final coat of ALLESDICHT: for plaster or screed, a rough, textured surface is recommended to improve adhesion of the next layer, while a smooth finish is sufficient if the surface is to be painted.

The key requirement is that all ALLESDICHT coats are fully cured before the next layer is applied. Curing time depends on the coating thickness, temperature and humidity. At room temperature and under normal humidity, a 1.5 mm coat is generally fully cured after 24 hours.
