Which XT tile sizes and thicknesses are available?

XT tiles are available in small, medium and large formats, each in thicknesses of 1.8 cm and 2.8 cm.

Each format is quoted with two sets of dimensions because of the jigsaw interlock at the tile edges: projecting teeth engage with recesses in the adjacent tiles as the tiles are pushed together. One dimension gives the maximum overall size; the smaller laid size gives the theoretical area a tile covers once installed and is used to calculate the number of tiles required. Each format has its own interlock pattern, so different formats cannot be laid together in the same area.

Tiles with a surface of coloured EPDM rubber granules have maximum dimensions and laid sizes of 31.5 × 31.5 cm and 28.9 × 28.9 cm in the small format, 48.5 × 48.5 cm and 44.6 × 44.6 cm in the medium format, and 101 × 101 cm and 97.1 × 97.1 cm in the large format.

Tiles made entirely from recycled tyre rubber granules (ELT) have maximum dimensions and laid sizes of 31.5 × 31.5 cm and 28.9 × 28.9 cm in the small format, 50 × 50 cm and 45.9 × 45.9 cm in the medium format, and 103 × 103 cm and 99 × 99 cm in the large format. Every format therefore has both a shipping size and a laid size.
