How do you seal a chimney?
Leaking chimney flashings are a common cause of roof damage. The problem is unforgiving: the junction between the chimney stack and the roof covering is always on the move – wind pressure, temperature shifts and building settlement keep it in constant flux.
ALLESDICHT handles this well because the elastic coating absorbs movement without losing its seal. It bonds to brick, concrete, sheet metal and fibre cement – all the materials you’ll find on a chimney. Embed reinforcing fabric at the transitions between stack and roof for structural stability.
One limitation: use ALLESDICHT only on chimneys that are no longer in active use or where the outside surface stays below 80 °C. For an active flue, check the exhaust temperature first. If there’s any doubt, ask a qualified chimney sweep or WARCO’s technical team.
