These plastic tile clips connect rubber granulate tiles at edges and corners. They engage with holes in the underside of the tiles and hold adjoining tiles together at defined points. This effectively prevents the installed tiles from shifting.
Connection via the underside of the tiles
A number of holes are formed in the underside of each tile at the edges and corners. They are positioned so that tile clips can be used either between two neighbouring tiles or at junctions where three or four tiles meet, depending on the laying pattern (staggered layout or a cross-joint, i.e. checkerboard pattern). Depending on the situation, one or two lugs engage in the corresponding recesses in the underside of the tile and clamp the tiles together at the joints.
Effect within the surface
Tile clips restrict movement of the tiles both across and along the joint. Installation is tool-free. With the connection points arranged on a grid, the tiles can be brought together quickly and aligned accurately.
System limits and edge restraint
Tile clips do not form a force-fit or form-fit connection and cannot transfer tensile forces. Indoors, for example on fitness or training areas, tile clips are generally sufficient to keep the surface stable over time and prevent tiles from sliding apart. Outdoors, temperature and weather effects can cause volume changes in the tiles. In these applications, a suitable edge restraint is required to prevent the surface from spreading over time.
