How long do safety mats and safety tiles last?

Safety mats and safety tiles made from rubber granules are designed for long-term use indoors and outdoors. Under normal conditions, WARCO tiles have a service life of 10 to 15 years, and often longer.

The actual lifespan depends on the intensity of use, the location and the weather conditions. Wear occurs mainly in heavily used areas, such as beneath swings or at the ends of slides. UV radiation and repeated freeze-thaw cycles also contribute to the gradual ageing of the rubber granules over time.

The tiles are easy to maintain and should be inspected regularly for wear and signs of ageing. Individual tiles can be replaced when required without renewing the entire surface. This simplifies maintenance and can extend the service life of the entire installation.
