Safety flooring, made of rubber granulate, is a clever solution for permanent and low-maintenance fall protection on every surface.
Safety flooring, that is surfacing which has fall-attenuating properties, is not just a question of public playgrounds, where it is required. Safety flooring should secure any play, sport and leisure areas where there is a risk of falling, where there is some kind of vertical equipment. Safety flooring should be installed in kindergartens, schoolyards, play rooms, gyms, climbing and bouldering walls, swimming pool surrounds, recreation grounds, etc.

Choose the right safety flooring
When designing a play area and choosing the right safety flooring, take into account the maximal fall height of the facility. Then, choose the tile of adequate fall protection value. What is also important is the planned use of a play area. For example, for ball games we recommend harder sports floor tiles, while for toddlers - softer FR30 safety flooring.
Another factor which is worth considering is the existing subfloor. If it is bound (e.g. concrete) and flat, any tile is suitable. On unbound base courses you should choose at least a 40 mm thick tile. When having doubts, fill in the contact form and we will recommend you the best tile for your area.
